Home Study Application!

We received the initial home study packet a few weeks ago.

Filled it out, mailed it (and our first adoption payment!!), and now wait to hear who will be assigned to us as our social worker (we should find out today).

Backing up a bit, I'd talked a number of times with the agency who will complete the home study. Knowing we would need references & contact information for a few people prior to sending the application in, we've already told a few! That certainly made it seem more real. Not just our little secret!

Once we hear from the social worker, we'll be able to make an appointment for first meeting. Which means we need to get a few things taken care of in the house. Office (which will be the baby's room) and fireplace (broken mirror above the mantel just doesn't seem right) primarily.

Also in the next week or so, we'll be doing the FBI fingerprinting for it, and getting the clearances done!
