Evening, birthdate of Elizabeth

Elizabeth was born today.

This was one of my favorite days of the year when my grandmother Elizabeth was alive. She and I would go and shop all day long. Always on the day after Thanksgiving, shopping, lunch, and more shopping.

This year our new little Lizzie was born.

2:36pm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
19 inches long
6lbs 14ozs

And beautiful!!
Richard arrived shortly after the doctors went in, as I could hear her little cries. We both stood outside the door waiting to be allowed inside.

Only ever seen Richard this happy 3 times before. maybe 4 if wedding included. But really, the days our kids have been born have topped all else.

She has amazing hair. More photos to come later or tomorrow. It's been a big day!
